About Us

Chaney-Thomas & Associated headquartered in the Bay Area, is a full service marketing consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing and planning as well as construction consulting.  Our goal is to grow your business with a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.  Our new division specializing in construction focuses on giving you the expertise that a senior level manager could provide at a fraction of the cost of hiring a full time person with these qualifications.

Sydney Chaney-Thomas
Owner and Founder
Sydney has over eighteen years of marketing and project management experience with both the traditional classical style of the Fortune 500, as well as small South of Market Internet start up companies with names like Pagoo.  She is an award winning contributor to many project teams and an excellent writer, stratigist and project manager.  She is a creative multitasker and has her first cookbook coming out in the Spring of 2014.
"My experience has taught me that different styles are good for different clients and that market conditions and the needs of my clients are constantly changing."  With an innovative and unconventional approach to marketing challenges Ms. Chaney-Thomas is able to drive sales and product adoption.

Sydney fell into marketing the way a person slides into a pool on a hot summer day.  In 1993 she was the choice of a Senior Vice President at Bank of America for a Product Manager position because she "looked like" a marketing person.  Smart SVP, because she was a marketing person by nature, from there she worked for several large corporations, and a host of Internet and technology companies with great success increasing sales and usage all along the way.   Now she is available to work for you.

Tracy Thomas
Executive Vice President
Tracy brings over twenty years of construction management experience to our team, with an emphasis on profitability management and business development.  He spent ten years in an administrative, operational and project management capacity for an international construction and engineering firm where division's field site was recognized as the most profitable and largest revenue producing of all locations during his tenure.  The last fifteen years he spent steering the strategic growth of two structural concrete subcontractors, more than doubling revenue.
Tracy is recognized as a prominent contributor, leader and strategic visionary in the industry.
